Peter Rath is a freelance Photographer based in Kealia, Kauai.

He was born in Germany, grew up in England, lived the majority of his life in Los Angeles and now lives in Kealia on the beautiful island of Kauai. He has been photographing the world around him since an early age and some time ago completed a one year long intensive Photography Certificate Program at the Los Angeles Center of Photography.

Photography to him is not just about capturing a beautiful image, it is also about the process of engaging and helping the viewer slow down, to take a time-out from today's increasingly busy world, and helping the observer notice something new and meaningful about themself or their environment, which ultimately helps to expand their "Weltanschauung" (view of life.)

In regards to photographing Real Estate he recognizes the importance of taking the time to capture the personality of the house and to present the photos in a way which allow the viewer to try on the home's many features.

Peter strongly believes in "Deliberate Practice" the process of constantly challenging yourself to learn and master a new skill. He is currently immersed in an advanced Photoshop editing class.
